How to Report Square Footage in DataMaster
DataMaster makes it easy to review and select the square footage you want to use in your appraisal report.
1. Open the Sales Comparison Grid
Go to the Sales Comparison grid and locate the square footage or GLA field for the subject and comparable properties.
2. Review the Available Data
Compare the square footage values available from different sources.
If the values do not match, review the information and determine which value is most appropriate for your appraisal.
3. Select the Square Footage to Report
Choose the square footage value you want DataMaster to use.
For the subject property, you can also use your own measured square footage when appropriate.
4. Save Your Changes
Once you have selected the correct values, save your changes in DataMaster.
Your selections will be retained in your digital workfile and can be transferred to your appraisal form software.
5. Verify Your Report
After transferring the data, review your appraisal report to confirm that the correct square footage values were populated.
Quick Tip:
Always review square footage from the available sources before transferring your data. DataMaster helps organize the information, while you remain in control of which value is reported.
